Abram Recht, MD, FASTRO, FASCO is Professor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School and Vice Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He graduated from Johns Hopkins Medical School and trained in radiation oncology at the Joint Center for Radiation Therapy, Boston. He has written, edited, or been co-author of more than 300 publications on all aspects of the local-regional therapy of breast cancer. He has served on breast-cancer related panels and committees of the American Joint Committee on Cancer, the American College of Radiology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (co-chairing its panel on the use of postmastectomy radiotherapy), the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, the European Organization for Research in Treatment of Cancer, and the Integration Panel of the Breast Cancer Research Program of the US Department of Defense. He is a fellow of the American Society for Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
