Amanda Walker, MD
Amanda Walker is a radiation oncologist and Senior Medical Director at POINT Biopharma. She was previously a Medical Director at Novartis, Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Johns Hopkins as well as a Medical Officer at the FDA in the Office of Oncologic Diseases. At the FDA, Dr. Walker served as Associate Director of Radiation Oncology in the FDAs Oncology Center of Excellence and advised Industry and Academia with respect to oncology products, clinical trial design, and regulatory pathways to accelerate public access to novel drugs and devices. She has organized workshops and symposia including the "Clinical Development of Drug-Radiotherapy Combinations Workshop" co-sponsored by the FDA, AACR, and ASTRO. She also led a number of outreach activities pertaining to therapeutic radiopharmaceutical development. Dr. Walker graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University and then earned her medical degree from Tufts University. She completed a preliminary year in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago, followed by her residency training in radiation oncology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. In addition to her time at the FDA she previously served as Adjunct Investigator in the Radiation Oncology Branch at the National Cancer Institute and spent time in private practice in New England.
