Dr. Amir Safavi is a Radiation Oncologist and Advanced Clinical Radiation Oncology Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He completed residency training at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre. Dr. Safavi holds degrees from Columbia University and the University of Toronto.



Dr. Safavi’s interests relate to his clinical training in head and neck cancer, lung cancer, and oligometastatic disease, and technical training in stereotactic (SBRT and SRS), adaptive (MR- and CT-based), and proton radiotherapy. He aims to evaluate the clinical effectiveness and health system impacts of cancer care interventions and discover novel strategies (molecular, radiomic, and technology-based) for improving the therapeutic index of radiotherapy.
