University of Virginia School of Medicine, “Emergency Department Waiting Room Study”
PI: Dr. Deborah Vinton and Dr. Matthew Trowbridge. The purpose of the study was to gather information about people’s behaviors and experiences in the UVA Emergency Department waiting room so as to improve the waiting room experience. I conducted interviews with patients and recorded data in a central database.
Medical Student Summer Research Program
University of Virginia School of Medicine, “Hematoma Prevention after CIED Implantation”
PI: Dr. Nishaki Mehta. Primarily responsible for calling study participants, administering a questionnaire assessing hematoma formation and surgical site healing, reviewing patient charts, collecting and recording data, and performing statistical analysis of the data.
