Anna LaVigne, MD
Dr. Anna (Annie) LaVigne is an attending physician in Radiation Oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is the founder and director of the institution and department’s first dedicated palliative radiation service—PRISM (Palliative Radiation in Supportive Medicine)—and the primary breast radiation oncologist at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Dr. LaVigne's clinical efforts center on expanding access to palliative radiation through infrastructural development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovative treatment approaches. She is deeply committed to advancing health equity and addressing disparities in cancer care delivery. Her work seeks to bridge the gap between radiation oncology and the health humanities, fostering a more holistic, human-centered approach to clinical practice that supports the emotional, social, and cultural dimensions of patient care.
