After finishing Radiotherapy residency at Instituto Nacional do Cancer, Arthur moved to Salvador in 2003, a city located in the northeast region of Brasil, where he helped to implement many new technologies such as IMRT, IGRT, Radiosurgery, SBRT among others. The leadership fostered in the region opened doors at the Brazilian Society of Radiotherapy where he served as board member, Vice President and President. Currently is the President of the board. Arthur also served as volunteer at ASTRO in the International Education Subcommittee as vice chair and chair of the Latin American chapter. From 2019 to 2021 was engaged in a business position as Director of Radiotherapy in the largest oncology group in Latin America, Grupo Oncoclinicas. Currently holds a medical position as Leader of Radiotherapy specialty in that group. Also practice radiotherapy at Oncoclinicas Salvador-Hospital Santa Izabel with special interest in breast cancer, GU, Sarcomas, Thoracic Oncology and CNS cancers.
