Ashir Bhatti is a neuroscience student at George Mason University pursuing his bachelor’s degree and a member of the clinical team at Radiation Oncology, Inova Schar Cancer. He also conducts laboratory research in traumatic brain injury and Alzheimer’s disease at George Mason University and serves as a research fellow with Inova Schar Cancer, where his work focuses on cancers affecting women. An aspiring physician with a strong interest in oncology, Ashir’s experiences at Inova Schar Cancer have shaped his commitment to cancer care, research, and education. His interests center on improving the understanding, prevention, and treatment of cancer while bridging the gap between clinical medicine and the communities it serves. Beyond his clinical and academic work, Ashir leads cancer education seminars at local Virginia libraries serving underserved communities, where he discusses cancer screening, prevention, health resources, and cancer biology. He hopes to build a career at the intersection of medicine, oncology, research, and patient advocacy.
