Ashish B. Patel, MD, MBA, is associate professor and serves as vice chair for quality and safety in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Patel also serves as medical director of radiation oncology at Emory Decatur Hospital and Emory Hillandale Hospital. Dr. Patel leads the quality program in radiation oncology, where is tasked with fulfilling vision to deliver high quality and consistent care throughout the Emory system. In 2025, he completed ASTRO's Leadership Pathway Program where he evaluated barriers to adoption of financial toxicity assessments in radiation oncology practices throughout the United States. Board certified in radiation oncology, he specializes in brachytherapy and stereotactic body radiotherapy. He treats patients with gynecologic and genitourinary malignancies.
