Dr. Rosen is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Michigan and Director of the Medical Physics Residency Program at Michigan Medicine. He is board-certified in Therapeutic Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology and is a U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Authorized Medical Physicist. His academic career focuses on advancing radiation oncology through quantitative imaging, artificial intelligence, adaptive radiotherapy, and predictive modeling of tumor control and normal tissue toxicity. Dr. Rosen has contributed to multiple federally and foundation-funded research efforts, including NIH-supported studies of individualized response to adaptive radiation therapy and strategies for enhancing durable anti-tumoral immunity. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications spanning head and neck cancer, brain tumors, liver-directed therapy, reirradiation, imaging biomarkers, and treatment response assessment. He has been an invited speaker on topics including imaging biomarker research, total body irradiation, artificial intelligence in oncology, and reirradiation. He also serves as Associate Section Editor for physics for the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics.
