Brian Shuch, MD

I am the Director of the UCLA Kidney Cancer Program, Professor of Urology, and the Alvin & Carrie Meinhardt Endowed Chair in Kidney Cancer Research. I am a clinical/translational researcher focused on kidney cancer and serve in leadership positions within various research organizations such as SWOG (co-Chair), the NCI Renal Task Force (co-Chair), the Society of Urologic Oncology Clinical Trial Consortium (Secretary-Treasurer), and the Kidney Cancer Association (Board and Medical Steering Committee Vice Chair). While maintaining a busy clinical practice and running clinical trials for all stages of kidney cancer, a large focus is on advancing clinical and translational research.
