Dr. Caglar Guzel is a TROD-certified attending radiation oncologist at Erzurum City Hospital in Erzurum, Türkiye. His clinical and academic interests include central nervous system tumors, head and neck cancer, genitourinary malignancies, and advanced radiation delivery techniques. He received his medical degree from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine and completed his radiation oncology residency at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in Ankara.
During his training at Gazi University, Dr. Guzel played an active role in the institution’s early implementation of modern brachytherapy workflows and LATTICE radiotherapy. His research focuses on meningioma, neuro-oncology, and biomarker-driven approaches in precision oncology. He has contributed to publications and collaborative studies in glioblastoma, breast cancer, head and neck oncology, and supportive oncology. He is a member of the Turkish Society for Radiation Oncology (TROD), ASTRO, and EANO, and participates in national collaborative initiatives within the Turkish radiation oncology community.
