Celia Reynolds, MD, is a radiation oncology resident at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Her clinical and academic interests center on thoracic oncology, head and neck cancer, stereotactic body radiation therapy, reirradiation, and the integration of molecular biomarkers into radiation treatment selection and surveillance. She earned her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and completed a preliminary general surgery internship at Duke University Medical Center. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a focus in cell and molecular biology and a minor in chemistry, summa cum laude from Armstrong State University.
Before returning to specialty training, Dr. Reynolds served as a Senior Molecular Science Liaison and Molecular Science Liaison Pathology Specialist at Caris Life Sciences, where she supported molecular profiling, clinicopathologic interpretation, molecular tumor boards, and clinical trial identification. Her earlier research included cardiovascular pathology, nanotechnology-based targeted therapeutics, pulmonary disease biology, and industrial research and development. Her current research focuses on precision radiation oncology, including peri-SBRT circulating tumor DNA assessment as a biomarker of molecular response and recurrence risk in localized non-small cell lung cancer. She has received the Duke University School of Medicine Dean’s Merit Scholarship and awards for scientific presentations in nanomedicine and pulmonary biology.
