Dr. Chang Heon Choi is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Seoul National University Hospital and a board-certified medical physicist in Korea. He received his BS in Nuclear Engineering and his MS and PhD in the Interdisciplinary Program of Radiation Applied Life Science from Seoul National University. Before joining Seoul National University Hospital, he worked as a medical physicist and clinical faculty member at several institutions, including Veterans Health Service Medical Center in Seoul and Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital in the United Arab Emirates. His research focuses on radiation dosimetry, Monte Carlo simulation, particle therapy, brachytherapy, magnetic resonance-guided radiotherapy, and the development of patient-specific devices and in vivo dosimetry systems. He has led and participated in research projects involving Geant4-DNA simulations, biological dose modeling for particle therapy, flexible radiochromic dosimeters, respiratory-gating systems, and patient-specific immobilization and treatment devices. He has published extensively in the field of medical physics and radiation oncology and has received several honors, including Young Scientist Awards from the Korean Society of Medical Physics and the Korean Association for Radiation Protection.
