Dr. Fuller is Professor of Radiation Oncology, Head and Neck Section, Department of Radiation Oncology, Division of Radiation Oncology, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he serves as MR-LinAc Lead and Associate Director of MRI Programmatic Development. Institutionally, he serves as Faculty in the UT Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and Medical Director, Image-guided Cancer Therapy Program.
Dr. Fuller’s work focuses on radiation therapy in head and neck cancers, leveraging computational and adaptive approaches to improve not only survival, but also mitigate treatment-related side-effects, by incorporation of advanced spatial/non-spatial informatics models using advanced imaging data.
After NIH T25 pre-doctoral and R25-funded medical school experiences, and a T32-supported hybrid PhD/residency program in Human Imaging at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio, Dr. Fuller completed a K12 Paul Calabresi post-doctoral fellowship at MD Anderson. During his K12 in clinical trial design and imaging informatics, he undertook APBM sub-specialization in Clinical Informatics to supplement ABR specialty certification in Radiation Oncology. As a radiation oncologist and informatician with formal imaging physics expertise, he has developed clinical and translational research experience, serving as PI for multiple National Science Foundation and NIH research awards. Dr. Fuller is a recognized educator and mentor, and currently serves as co-PI of resident/fellow R25 program in imaging & informatics, and is MPI for MD Anderson's post-doctoral T32 training programs in Image-guided Cancer Therapy.
