Colin Burns is a medical student at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. He holds a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Biostatistics from The George Washington University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.
Colin brings extensive clinical research experience to his medical training. Prior to medical school, he served as a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator at Thomas Jefferson University's Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center in the Division of Gastrointestinal Oncology. He has also contributed to research in the Department of Rheumatology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
His combined training in medicine, biostatistics, and oncology research informs his interest in clinical outcomes research. Outside of medicine, Colin enjoys cooking, chess, distance running, and a range of team sports.
