Dr. Krauss received his B.S. from the University of Michigan and his M.D. from Wayne State University in 2000. He completed his residency training in radiation oncology at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI in 2005 and has been a member of the clinical faculty there since that time. He has been the Department of Brachytherapy section head since 2011 and is an Associate Professor with Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Current academic interests emphasize primarily clinical research in the area of genitourinary malignancies on both the local and national level. He was the primary author of RTOG 0815, investigating the role of androgen suppression in the context of dose-escalated radiotherapy, and continues to serve as a member of and liaison between both the NRG Genitourinary and Radiation Oncology committees. He remains active in clinical research, serving as brachytherapy co-chair of recently-activated NRG GU 009 as well as development of new clinical protocols on the institutional level for prostate (especially HDR brachytherapy) and renal malignancies.
