Dr. Diego Augusto Santos Toesca is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Mayo Clinic Arizona. He completed radiation oncology residency training at University of São Paulo in Brazil and at Mayo Clinic Arizona.
His clinical interests include head and neck and genitourinary cancers, with expertise in advanced radiation techniques such as SBRT, and proton therapy. His academic interests focus on clinical outcomes research, treatment optimization, artificial intelligence, and innovation in radiation oncology. Dr. Toesca is actively involved in resident and medical student education, clinical research, and mentorship, and is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based patient care while advancing the field through multidisciplinary collaboration and scholarly activity.
