Dr. Ebrahim Delpassand is the Chairman and Medical director of Excel Diagnostics and Nuclear Oncology Center, located in Houston. He holds an academic position as Clinical Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology, at the University of Texas, Medical Branch. He completed his residency training in Nuclear Medicine, and Anatomical and Clinical Pathology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He is Board certified in Nuclear Medicine and Fellow of the American College of Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Delpassand is the former deputy chairman, associate professor, and chief of clinical nuclear medicine at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. His credentials and extensive experience include the disciplines of therapeutic nuclear medicine, Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT), nuclear cardiology, monoclonal antibody imaging, and positron emission tomography (PET). Dr. Delpassand has been the principle investigator of multiple Investigational New Drug (IND) applications in the areas of diagnostic and Therapeutic Nuclear Medicine authorized by U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), including the first Lu-177- DOTATATE for neuroendocrine cancer, first Lu-177 PSMA for prostate cancer and first Alpha therapies for both diseases, in the United States.


In January of 2006, Dr. Delpassand Founded RadioMedix, a clinical stage biotechnology company with focus on development of new targeted radioactive diagnostic and therapeutic agents in the field of oncology.


Dr. Delpassand has authored more than 100 peer reviewed manuscripts in the field of Nuclear Medicine, PRRT and Pathology and lectured in National and International meetings on PET, monoclonal antibody imaging, PRRT, and Therapeutic Nuclear Medicine.
