Dr. Park earned her BS in Chemistry from the University of Oklahoma in 2014 and her Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2020 from John Hopkins School of Medicine. Her thesis work, under the mentorship of Dr. Andrew Holland, focused on understanding the role of splicing factors in the regulation of centriole duplication. After graduating, she joined MD Anderson as a TRIUMPH Postdoctoral Fellow, where she studied the role of the gut microbiome on response and toxicity to immune checkpoint blockade under the mentorship of Drs. Stephanie Watowich and Jennifer Wargo. She has published multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts over the course of her studies and was the recipient of a F32 fellowship. She is currently pursuing her M.D. at UT Southwestern Medical School, where she is studying adapt-on-demand radiation therapy for the treatment of cervical cancer under the mentorship of Dr. Kevin Albuquerque.
