Dr. Emily O’Reilly is a fourth year Radiation Oncology Resident at the University of British Columbia and BC Cancer in Vancouver, BC. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UNBC prior to attending medical school at UBC. She is actively involved in research, teaching, and mentorship, and was awarded the 2024 Dr. Stewart M. Jackson Award for the Best Presentation by a Radiation Oncology Resident, Dr. Peter Poon Memorial Research Award, and CARO CanMEDS Non-Medical Expert Book Prize. Her research focuses on the the effect of same-day VMAT on resource utilization in rapid access palliative radiotherapy clinics using a radiation oncologist initiated automated planning script.
