Dr. Erik Blomain is a physician scientist who is currently pursuing residency training at Stanford University in the field of Radiation Oncology.


Originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, he earned a bachelor of arts degree from Cornell University in 2009 as a double major in Biology and Classics. He went on to earn both an MD and a PhD degree from Thomas Jefferson University in 2016. Throughout his career his research interests have encompassed both basic science and translational projects in cancer research. In addition to his clinical and research interests, he currently serves as a patient advocate on the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines committee for Thyroid Cancer.


In the future, he hopes to pursue a career in academic radiation oncology with a goal of improving the lives of cancer patients through the pursuit of clinical excellence, novel research and patient advocacy.
