Dr. Zhu is currently an associate professor at the Department of Radiation Oncology at UMass Memorial Medical Center. He received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University and medical degree from University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. He completed his internship at AMITA Health Saint Joseph Hospital Chicago. He treats patients with radiation therapy. Research interests include medical device technology, clinical outcomes in lung cancer and pancreatic cancer, healthcare disparities and education, and proton therapy. Prior publications have focused on the role of radiotherapy in cancer control outcomes, radiation oncology education, as well as sociodemographic determinants of clinical cancer outcomes.
