Dr. Xu is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California San Diego, in the Department of Radiation Medicine and Applied Sciences. He earned his B.A. in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his Ph.D. at Vanderbilt University, where he investigated genetic and tumor microenvironment markers of aggressive thyroid cancer. His current research focuses on using germline genetic markers to predict risk of aggressive prostate cancer.
