Heather Manring, PhD is a radiobiologist in the Department of Radiation Oncology at The Ohio State University. She completed her PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology at Wake Forest University. Since completing her PhD in 2012, she worked eight years on projects related to striated muscle including dilated cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and muscular dystrophy. For the past four years, Heather has been working as a radiobiologist in Dr. Chakravarti’s lab. Her research focuses on FLASH radiotherapy and drug development with an interest in identifying resistance mechanisms of glioblastomas and merging new drugs and radiotherapy to more effectively target specific tumors.
