Dr. Kuerer is a surgical oncologist and the Executive Director of Breast Programs at the MD Anderson Cancer Network. Much of his clinical trial research has focused on reducing and eliminating surgical procedures that result in excessive morbidity for patients by integrating multimodal multidisciplinary care. He is an accomplished educator and internationally known thought leader in breast cancer care.
