Dr. Elhalawani is the Pediatric/AYA Radiation Oncology Clinical Director at the Dana-Farber/Brigham Cancer Center (DF/BCC). He completed medical school in 2011, followed by clinical oncology and nuclear medicine residency at Ain Shams University School of Medicine, Cairo, Egypt (2015). He subsequently completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center (2019), a clinical radiation oncology fellowship program at the Cleveland Clinic (2020), and a clinical fellowship in Central Nervous System Radiosurgery/Radiotherapy at the DF/BCC (2022). Dr. Elhalawani’s clinical focus is pediatric and AYA radiation oncology, specializing in CT- and MR-guided adaptive radiotherapy. His research interests focus on leveraging machine learning and imaging informatics to personalize care for cancer patients. He is particularly interested in integrating multi-parametric MRI, radiomics, and other quantitative imaging analytics to advance personalized cancer care.
