Hidenobu Tachibana, PhD, is a medical physicist specializing in radiation oncology, quality assurance, and advanced dosimetry. He serves as Representative Director of the Radiation Quality Assurance Development and Application Organization (RAQDA), Senior Advisor at Triangle Products, and Research Fellow in Radiation Oncology at St. Marianna University School of Medicine.
Dr. Tachibana previously led the Radiation Quality Management Office at the National Cancer Center Hospital East, Japan, and has held research positions at Stanford University and UT Southwestern Medical Center. His research focuses on polymer gel dosimetry, deformable dose verification, stereotactic radiotherapy quality assurance, adaptive radiotherapy, and image-guided radiation therapy.
He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and has contributed to multiple national guidelines in medical physics. His current work includes the development of deformable gel dosimeters for validating accumulated dose in adaptive radiotherapy, advanced quality assurance methodologies for SRS/SBRT, and independent third-party radiotherapy auditing systems.
His mission is to improve the accuracy, safety, and trustworthiness of cancer radiotherapy through research, innovation, and quality management.
