Dr. Hong In Yoon, M.D., Ph.D., is currently a Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Yonsei Cancer Center, Yonsei University College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea. Dr. Yoon earned his M.D., M.S., and Ph.D. from Yonsei University College of Medicine. Dr. Yoon’s career focuses on lung cancer, CNS tumors, soft tissue sarcoma and advanced cancer treatment modalities like heavy-ion therapy. He has also contributed extensively to research in radio-sensitization, cardio-oncology, and high-precision radiation therapy. He has been a principal investigator for several government-funded projects in Korea, focusing on strategies to overcome radioresistance and improve treatment outcomes in cancers such as glioblastoma and lung cancer.
