Hunter Boggs, MD
Dr. D. Hunter Boggs is Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Quality and Clinical Affairs in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He trained at LSUHSC Shreveport for Medical School and received residency training at the University of Maryland, graduating in 2015. From there, he moved to UAB. Dr. Boggs investigates adaptive partial breast irradiation techniques and contributed to the development of stereotactic radiosurgery protocols. He serves as institutional investigator on multiple NRG Oncology trials and has authored or co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. His research focuses on reducing toxicity in breast, brain, and lung cancer treatments.
