This hybrid educational activity is directed towards ASTRO attendees, including an audience of radiation oncologists, medical and surgical oncologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals managing HER2-positive breast cancer. learning objectives

  1. Evaluate the safety profile of concurrent and sequential radiation therapy with T-DXd, including strategies to distinguish drug-related ILD from radiation pneumonitis.

  2. Develop a radiation treatment plan that accounts for the overlapping pulmonary and cardiac toxicity risks of ADC-based systemic therapy in HER2-positive breast cancer.

  3. Assess the implications of recent and emerging clinical trial data for the role of radiation therapy in early-stage and metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer.

  4. Apply a multidisciplinary framework to integrate systemic and local therapy for HER2-positive breast cancer with brain metastases.
