There have been many immense advances made in the treatment of breast cancer over the years. As a radiation oncologist who primarily specializes in the treatment of breast cancer, I am constantly searching for ways to improve not only the treatment techniques but also to mitigate side effects. Novel radiation techniques and approaches are imperative in the treatment of our patients.
It is imperative that treatment decision align with the patient’s goals while achieving optimal results and preservation of quality of life.
