Dr. Mondal is a Clinical Fellow in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Medical College & Hospital Kolkata. Board-certified by the West Bengal Medical Council and National Medical Commission, India. He holds an MD in Radiation Oncology and an MBA in Healthcare Management. His clinical practice focuses on thoracic, head and neck, and breast malignancies, with specialized training in image-guided radiotherapy, brachytherapy, and adaptive techniques. Dr. Mondal has completed observerships at Tata Memorial Hospital, Tata Medical Center, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, including training under Dr. Nancy Lee and a fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center under the mentorship of Dr. Abraham J. Wu.
An active member of ASTRO, ASCO, ESMO, and CARO, he serves on the scientific committees of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI), including contributing to the organization of the 45th AROI National Conference, and is also a member of the Executive Committee of the AROI West Bengal Chapter (AROI-WB). His research advances practical radiotherapy applications, with peer-reviewed publications on brachytherapy fractionation, PET-CT planning in NSCLC, and toxicities of adjuvant breast radiotherapy. He is a recipient of the UICC Technical Fellowship 2024, AROI Overseas Fellowship 2023, and multiple presentation awards from national oncology conferences.
