Janna Andrews, MD, is Chair of Radiation Medicine at Phelps Hospital and an Associate Professor of Radiation Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
Dr. Andrews earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, completed her residency training at Emory University School of Medicine, and pursued advanced fellowship training in genitourinary oncology at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Andrews’ research and professional focus center on addressing disparities in cancer care, with particular emphasis on improving diversity and representation in oncology clinical trials. She believes that meaningful progress requires sustained commitment to ensuring clinical research better reflects the populations most affected by cancer—an approach that aligns closely with Northwell Health’s mission to improve the health and quality of life of the diverse communities it serves.
