Jason Liu is a third-year medical student at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine with a strong career focus on orthopedic surgery. His clinical interests include joint reconstruction, sports-related injuries, and musculoskeletal trauma. He is actively involved in research aimed at improving patient outcomes through surgical innovation and interdisciplinary care.

His presentation at the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Annual Meeting evaluates the use of perioperative radiation therapy as an adjunct to revision total knee arthroplasty to reduce the recurrence of arthrofibrosis—an innovative approach bridging orthopedic surgery and radiation oncology.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of Florida, where he was recognized for academic excellence and research leadership. Prior to medical school, Jason worked as a health consulting analyst, developing a strong foundation in data-driven healthcare improvement. He has worked alongside orthopedic surgeons at both academic medical centers and community hospitals, gaining firsthand experience in a wide range of surgical techniques and patient care models.

Jason’s research has spanned topics from sports medicine to radiation-assisted joint interventions, and he continues to seek opportunities to contribute to high-impact, patient-centered scholarship in orthopedics.
