Jean-Emmanuel Bibault is a physician-scientist specialized in radiation oncology with a PhD in biomedical informatics. His clinical research focuses on new radiation therapy techniques that can be used to limit side effects and improve the patient's outcome, such as Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT). His translational research is exploring the use of machine learning for cancer prediction and classification.



Between 2013 and 2015, he was the President of the French Society of Young Radiation Oncologists and became chair of the Young Committee of the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology between 2015 and 2018.


He's developed several mobile health apps for iPhone and Android and co-founded a mHealth startup that was acquired in 2014.


In 2019 he was awarded the Paul Mathieu prize by the French National Academy of Medicine for his work on treatment response prediction with radiomics and deep learning.
