A native of China, Dr. Sun received her medical degrees from Southern Medical University, in Guangzhou, China, graduating with Honors. She completed a residency and internship in her homeland. She is licensed in Ob/Gyn in China. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Farmington at University of Connecticut Health Center in Gynecologic Oncology. She completed a clinical research fellowship in Cleveland at Cleveland Clinic in Colorectal Surgery. She is interested in oncology and clinical cancer research. She worked as a research associate in Cleveland at Case Western University prior to her residency training in the US. She completed her internship in General Surgery in Loma Linda at Loma Linda University Health and a second year of resident in New York City at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in General Surgery. She is currently a Fifth-year Chief resident at UC Davis Radiation Oncology. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with pets. She has three pets: a dog named Allysa and two cats named Lucy and Laifu.
