Jingjie Yu is a PhD candidate in medical physics in the joint graduate program of the University of California, Berkeley and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), advised by Qihui Lyu, PhD and Ke Sheng, PhD. Yu received an undergraduate degree in physics from the University of Science and Technology of China. Their research applies large-scale numerical optimization to problems in radiation therapy, including inverse station dose optimization for Gamma Knife radiosurgery using group-sparsity regularization and accelerated first-order methods, quantitative SPECT reconstruction for Lu-177 and I-131 radiopharmaceutical therapy, and spatially fractionated (LATTICE) radiotherapy planning. Yu's presented work develops a spatiotemporal optimization framework for multi-metastasis stereotactic radiosurgery.
