Im a radiation oncologist whose area of competence is in the management of maladies affecting the CNS. Im board certified in Internal Medicine & Radiation Oncology, and have received fellowship certification by the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in Radiation Oncology. My interests in managing CNS disease developed because of the critical importance in achieving local control without iatrogenic injury, and has pivoted on providing therapies less morbid than previously accepted practices. I initially participated in stereotactic radiosurgical treatments for AVMs during my residency at the University of Toronto in 1990, and I continue to have a busy radiosurgical practice. I introduced mutual information-based, automated 3D rigid registration of MR to CT for focal radiation management and follow-up of intracranial pathology. This abstract on DOTATATE PET imaging for atypical meningiomas documents my ongoing interest in employing advanced imaging approaches to achieve superior treatment outcomes while minimizing morbidity.
