Julia G. Fricke, MD, is a Swiss board-certified nuclear medicine physician and SNSF-funded Postdoctoral Scholar in Nuclear Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. Her main research interest is theranostics and the clinical translation of novel radiopharmaceuticals.
At University Hospital Basel, her work focused on neuroendocrine tumor imaging and radionuclide therapy, including a first-in-human phase 0 study of [¹6¹Tb]Tb-DOTA-LM3 and terbium-161 dosimetry, as well as GLP-1 receptor PET/CT with [68Ga]Ga-DOTA-exendin-4 for insulinoma localization. Her work on terbium-161–based radiopharmaceutical therapy was recognized with the EANM Marie Curie Award in 2024.
At Stanford, she focuses on long-axial-field-of-view PET/CT as a platform for the clinical translation and evaluation of novel radiopharmaceuticals. Her broader research interests include molecular imaging, quantitative dosimetry, radiopharmaceutical therapy, and the development of new theranostic approaches in precision oncology.
