Dr. Wu Kailiang is Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, Doctor of Oncology, Department of Radiation Oncology, Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center, and Director of the Thoracic Oncology Department of Shanghai Proton and Heavy Ion Center. He received his Ph.D. in thoracic tumor from Fudan University and completed further study at the Department of Radiation Oncology, Sunnybrook Health Science Centre, Canada. He has been engaged in thoracic oncology radiotherapy for a long time, focusing on three dimensional radiotherapy for lung cancer and radiotherapy for thoracic tumors. He has published more than 100 papers, including 43 SCI-indexed papers, edited "Practical Thoracic Oncology Radiotherapy" and "Clinical Oncology Radiotherapy", and participated in the compilation of 8 books. He has obtained 3 patents, received 6 scientific research achievement awards, and presided over projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, and Ministry of Education Foundation. His clinical expertise includes radiotherapy and comprehensive treatment of lung cancer, mediastinal tumors, esophageal cancer, and heavy ion radiotherapy for thoracic tumors.
