Kaustav Talapatra is the Principal Director of Radiation Oncology at Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital, Mumbai. He is currently the ASTRO ambassador for India. He has extensive expertise in cranial and extracranial radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiotherapy and advanced radiation oncology techniques. He led the establishment of South Asia’s first Edge radiosurgery system and previously served as Director of the Varian SRT/SRS Clinical School. At Nanavati Max Hospital, he is the Director of the Radiation Oncology AI Lab, established in collaboration with NMIMS University. He has received advanced training at leading national and international institutions, including CMC, Vellore; Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown, Portugal; Humanitas, Milan; and University Hospital Zurich. He has previously worked at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and has served as National Head of Radiation Oncology at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Reliance Cancer Centres. His academic contributions include more than 65 publications in reputed national and international journals. He is a Fellow of the Indian College of Radiation Oncology (FICRO).
