Kiran Kumar, MD, MBA
Kiran A. Kumar, MD MBA is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology, Chief of the Lymphoma & Pediatrics Radiation Oncology Service, and Director of Medical Residency Program at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX. He completed medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and did his residency at Stanford University Medical Center. He currently specializes in the treatment of hematologic, pediatric, and sarcoma malignancies. Dr. Kumar's research interests include the use of radiation before or after CAR T-cell therapy for lymphomas, radiation therapy using PROMISE (pediatric radiation oncology with movie-induced sedation effect) technology to decrease the number of pediatric treatments requiring anesthesia, and the combination of immunotherapy with PULSAR for treatment of pediatric cancers, sarcomas, and metastatic tumors. He is also patient about medical and patient education, and currently serves as the Medical Student Specialty Advisor, Clinical Radiation Oncology Rotation Course Director, and on the UT Southwestern Medical School Admissions Committee.
