Kohei Oguma is an Assistant Professor and medical physicist at Keio University School of Medicine. He earned his Master of Science degree from Komazawa University in 2020, specializing in medical physics and radiation technology. Since then, he has worked at Keio University, engaging in clinical operations, quality assurance, and academic research to advance innovative radiotherapy techniques. His work focuses on medical physics, radiotherapy treatment planning, upright CT imaging, and upright radiotherapy. He has conducted treatment planning simulation studies using paired upright and supine CT images to evaluate posture-related anatomical changes and their dosimetric impact on patients. His study on upright prostate radiotherapy was published in Practical Radiation Oncology, and he received the Best Abstract Award at the 37th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Radiation Oncology (JASTRO) for this simulation work. His current presentation focuses on upright whole-breast irradiation, evaluating anatomical geometry and dose–volume characteristics compared with conventional supine treatment.
