Lea Bouchard is an M.D./M.S. candidate at the University of Sherbrooke where she is pursuing dual training in medicine and in Radiation Sciences and Biomedical Imaging. Her master’s research focuses on the modulation of the tumor immune microenvironment by single versus multifraction stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in an orthotopic non–small cell lung cancer model. She has presented her work at major national meetings, including CARO 2025 and the Canadian Society for Immunology Annual Scientific Meeting. Ms. Bouchard has been awarded several competitive scholarships, including the Canada Graduate Scholarship from CIHR and a Master’s Research Scholarship from the Fonds de recherche du Québec, recognizing her academic excellence and research potential. Beyond her research work and clinical training, she has been actively involved in leadership roles and community initiatives. She has served as Delegate for the Research Interest Group at the University of Sherbrooke, VP of Events for CODA UdeS in partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society, and Local Officer for IFMSA-Quebec’s Public Health Committee where she organized cancer awareness and fundraising activities. Through her combined medical and research training, Ms. Bouchard aims to pursue a career in radiation oncology with a focus on optimizing radioimmunotherapy strategies.
