Maciej Harat, MD, PhD, DSc, is Professor and Chair of Clinical Medicine at Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology, Head of the Department of Neuro-Oncology and Radiosurgery, and Head of the Radiation Oncology Division at the Oncology Center in Bydgoszcz, Poland. He is a radiation oncologist specializing in neuro-oncology, stereotactic radiosurgery, and advanced imaging-guided radiotherapy for brain and spine tumors. His research focuses on integrating amino acid PET imaging, radiosurgery, and novel therapies for gliomas and brain metastases. Dr. Harat is President-Elect of the Polish Society for Neuro-Oncology and Chair of the Stereotactic Radiosurgery Section of the Polish Society of Radiation Oncology. He is an active member of ESTRO CNS Focus Group and EORTC Brain Tumor Group. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and leads national and international clinical research initiatives focused on improving outcomes for patients with central nervous system tumors.
