Mahrukh Naqvi is a medical student at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine with a strong interest in radiation oncology, global health, and health equity. Her research has focused on head and neck cancer, cancer screening access, and improving care for underserved populations. As an ASTRO Medical Student Fellow, she conducted multidisciplinary radiation oncology research evaluating dose–swallowing relationships following head and neck cancer treatment and received mentorship in radiation oncology and medical education. Her broader work in student-run free clinics and community-based research has strengthened her commitment to addressing disparities in cancer care and improving access to treatment for diverse and underserved populations.
