Manish Suryapalam, MD, is a resident physician at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital and an incoming radiation oncology resident at the University of California, San Diego. He received his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Prior to medical school, he earned a BS in Data Science and Biology from Temple University and worked in data science.
Dr. Suryapalam’s career interests center on radiation oncology, with a particular interest in applying data-driven approaches to clinical research, healthcare delivery, and emerging technologies in cancer care. His research has included investigations of national patterns of radiation therapy utilization and changes in treatment practice over time. His latest research examines trends in whole-breast radiation fractionation following breast-conserving surgery, including the adoption of hypofractionated radiation therapy before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
