Matthew Arthur is a third-year medical student at Harvard Medical School. He graduated from Cornell University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences. Prior to medical school, he conducted clinical research at NYU Langone Health using PET/MR imaging to investigate how chronic changes in the locus coeruleus–norepinephrine (LC-NE) system may influence the development of Alzheimer disease.
He is currently involved in research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center examining the utility of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI for assessing perfusion changes in spinal metastases following radiation therapy. At Harvard, his research explores the use of novel CT imaging techniques to predict fracture risk in spinal metastases treated with radiation therapy.
