Megan Bright, MS has been a clinical medical physicist with Atrium Health in the Charlotte, NC region for 13 years. She received her ABR certification in therapeutic physics after graduating with an MS in Medical Physics from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Prior to joining Atrium Health, she worked in the Wake Forest University system for 8 years. She is passionate about safety and quality in radiation therapy, illustrated by the types of scientific study she has been involved with in addition to her clinical work. Her published works explore the use of SGRT in SBRT as well as evaluating failure modes in DIBH breast treatments. She has served as past president of SEAAPM, the Southeast’s regional AAPM chapter, as well as on the committees of numerous institutional working groups. She is honored to have been bestowed with several institutional awards, notably the Marie Curie Award in 2023, which highlights outstanding contributions by women in radiation oncology.
