Megan Orr, MD
Dr. Megan Orr is a PGY-5 and chief resident radiation oncology resident at UC San Diego.
Megan is especially inspired by the central role of communication, empathy, and education in radiation oncology. Cancer care is a team sport and feels honored to be a small part of each patient’s team. Empowering patients with knowledge and maintaining open, compassionate dialogue are core to her approach to care.
At UC San Diego, Megan is actively involved in medical education and clinical research. Her scholarly work focuses on improving contouring education for trainees through novel platforms that offer personalized, real-time feedback. She has served on the School of Medicine's Practice of Medicine faculty and the Recruitment and Admissions Executive Committee and finds joy in mentoring and teaching students and junior residents.
